Robert Kelman attended Wayne State University for both college and medical school, in Detroit, MI. After a Transitional Year at Providence Hospital, in Southfield, MI, he went to New Orleans to train at LSU Charity Hospital, in Emergency Medicine. He is currently practicing full time Emergency Medicine, in Warren, MI. Aside from his “not so daytime job”, he is serving on the Board of his synagogue. Married with 4 children, he enjoys spending time with his family, and looks forward to Chagim and vacations with them. Favorite pastimes include racquetball, tennis, Frisbee catch, and biking, as well as attending Torah learning opportunities through his synagogue. He first got involved with APF when he learned about the Disaster Registry in 2002. After taking the Disaster Preparedness course in 2005, he helped develop a very active chapter in Michigan, along with several other APF “enthusiasts”. Subsequent to this, he was asked to join the Board, and served as the President of APF in 2016 and 2017.
