APF considers students vital to ensuring future generations of leadership, for both APF and the Jewish community at large. Through our Birthright Israel Trips, medical, nursing and other students in healthcare fields receive the opportunity to experience Israel as tourists while learning about the practice of medicine in Israel. This life-changing trip is designed specifically for those studying in medical professions.
Students see Israel stretching from the Lebanese and Syrian borders to the Negev and the Dead Sea. They visit the mystic city of Safed, hike the mountains of Galilee, kayak the headwaters of the Jordan River, swim in Kinneret…and that’s just on the first of 10 days! It gets busier and better once they reach Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and the Negev. The only things they won’t do are sleep or be bored.
