Since 1951, APF has sponsored more than 1,500 Israeli physicians as they trained in leading U.S. and Canadian medical centers. Many have returned home to become hospital presidents, department chairs, and leaders across Israel’s healthcare system.

APF Fellows spend one to two years at major academic medical centers in the U.S. and Canada, training in advanced clinical and research techniques. When they return to Israel, they bring those skills to medically underserved communities, often becoming the only specialists of their kind in their region.
