Dr. Jonathan Siegal is an Emergency Medicine physician at NYPQ, a large academic hospital in New York City, and is currently the vice-chair for its Department of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Siegal had held various leadership roles in emergency department operations, including overseeing staffing, credentialing, quality assurance and patient flow and satisfaction. Dr. Siegal is also Assistant Professor in Emergency Medicine in Clinical Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine College. Previously, Dr. Siegal was Emergency Medicine core faculty and Associate EMS Medical Director at NYPQ from 2008 to 2013.
Dr. Siegal holds an undergraduate degree from New York University and a medical degree from the Sackler School of Medicine in Tel Aviv.
Dr. Siegal’s involvement with APF began with the 2017 Emergency and Disaster Preparedness Course in Israel, and he became an immediate APF enthusiast. The next year, he led a fellowship for Israeli nurse practitioners in Emergency Medicine in New York in 2018, and later that year gave a grand-rounds talk on "Data-driven ED performance" at Assuta Ashdod hospital. When asked to join the APF Board in 2019, he gladly accepted.
