Dr. Feldman is completing a clinical fellowship in orthopedic surgery trauma at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. The goal of this fellowship is to provide advanced training in the management of complex orthopedic trauma and posttraumatic reconstruction, a severely underserved subspecialty. Feldman’s hospital, in northern Israel, serves more than 700,000 patients, and he plans to contribute to the development of the hospital trauma service. Feldman was the first Israeli intern in the “Shashua” program at Hadassah Ein Kerem University Hospital, created to train orthopedic trauma surgeons.
