Even with a growing number of regional APF chapters across the country, we can be proud that, consistent with so much national Jewish leadership arising in Michigan, the most active chapter of this premier organization promoting medicine in Israel is in southeast Michigan.
The event featured three esteemed leaders:
- Robert Folberg, MD, Founding Dean of the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine
- Ora Hirsch Pescovitz, MD, President of Oakland University
- Jack Sobel, MD, Dean of the Wayne State University School of Medicine
These physicians gave individual talks and participated in a panel discussion about their personal involvement and their institutions’ ties to Israeli medical institutions, which included a lively audience Q+A.
