This year will be the 10th year that APF will be offering an annual Emergency and Disaster Preparedness Course in Israel. Dr. Kobi Peleg, Director of the Israel National Centre for Trauma and Emergency Medicine Research (NTDR) said, “Israel has a responsibility to share its experience, data, and knowledge with countries across the world”. During the past 10 years, many individuals have participated in the APF course and learned much about Israel’s experience concerning the management of disaster issues through hands-on training sessions. Those participants were able to share the new knowledge and skills acquired through application in their practices.
The fact that each year APF can continue to offer physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals a disaster course in one of the best prepared countries in the world for mass-casualty situations is truly amazing.
