Description:
As the head of the medical unit (Rofe 1) in his reserve combat unit in the Israel Defense Forces, Dr. Liran Tiosano has been doing 30 to 40 days of active reserve service each year. Dr. Tiosano completed his vitreoretinal surgical fellowship at the University of Ottawa, Canada, and moved to Doheny Eye Institute to start his clinical research fellowship. Dr. Liran will join the retina unit of the Department of Ophthalmology as a retina specialist when he returns to Israel.
