Deanna is a Nurse Practitioner in Family Medicine and Functional Medicine. Previously, she has worked in the emergency department, general surgery, and in advance practice in the outpost in First Nations communities. Additionally, completed a MA in Disaster and Emergency Management at Royal Roads University where she was involved in a practicum to develop an emergency plan for a local business in Jerusalem. She also participated in research involving earthquake preparedness among hospital employees in a Canadian and Israeli hospital. She has also organized and participated in several medical missions to Haiti and Cambodia and humanitarian work in Guatemala. She has been a Sar el volunteer supporting the Israeli Defense Force and helped with humanitarian efforts in Sderot, Israel. She has participated in the Disaster and Response Course sponsored by the APF in 2010. She is a strong supporter of Israel and is thrilled to participate on the APF Board.
