Former APF Fellow Exploring How Cancer Patients Seek Information In The Internet Era

Dr. Yishai Ofran, a senior Hematologist at Rambam Health Care Campus in Haifa and a 2007-2008 APF Fellowship Grant Recipient, has published a study, along with data scientist Elad Yom-Tov, Ph.D., which exploring how cancer patients and their social circle seek information in the Internet era.

Dr. Ofran is a recipient of APF’s Richard Klitzberg Oncology Award. Dr. Ofran came with his wife and their four children to Boston for his Research fellow, in the department of Medical Oncology at Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Through his special training and research at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Dr. Ofran was able to return to Israel where his knowledge has been utilized at Rambam Health Care Campus.
